A cup of chicken mince was languishing in one corner of the freezer 😉 And i was not in a mood to cook I was thinking of making kebabs ………..
Pakhi came back home from the playground sweaty and hungry. She didn’t want any kebab and I clearly heard the word ‘bhajiyas’ before she vanished into the washroom.
Bhajiyas = fritters, so bhajiyas it was going to be !!
A simple and easy snack for the evening with a cup of tea or coffee 😀
Now i am a sneaky mom 😉 I had boiled peas, potatoes and some carrots lying ………
Here’s what i did…….
1 cup – chicken mince
1 nos – boiled potato (mashed)
1/4 cup – boiled peas
1 nos – boiled medium sized carrot (mashed)
1 nos – green chili (chopped finely)
1/4 tsp – black pepper
2 tbsp – chick pea flour/ besan
salt to taste
pinch of carom seeds
1 nos – onion ( chopped into rings)
wedge of lime
Oil to fry
Mix together the chicken mince, peas, mashed potato, carrot and green chili. Add the salt, carom seeds and chick pea flour. Mix well and take a ball sized of this mix and flatten slightly like a kebab.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the fritters.
Squeeze the lime on the onion rings 10 mins before serving.
Serve hot fritters with the onion rings and any dip/ chutney of your choice.
Happy cooking !!!:)
Cheers !!! 😉
