Green Papaya salad

Green papaya comes with innumerable health benefits. I have always consumed it, cooked. I have heard a lot about raw papaya salad, Som Tum of Thailand. Traditionally, dried shrimp or salted crab is used in this salad. I had neither in the pantry, so settled for a vegetarian version. The outcome was a fragrant, gently spicy and tangy with a hint of sweetness.

Taste was lip -smacking. The tangy lime,  the crunch of papaya juliennes and roasted peanuts tickles the taste -buds !!
