Potatoes, the universal favorite ๐
This is a cheat recipe ๐ and goes well with chapatis, pooris and paranthas.
Potatoes start tasting sweeter during the summers due to its’ long stay in the cold storage ๐ So I wanted to make best of the winter potatoes as much as I can.
As this is a cheat recipe, I used previously boiled potatoes. Hence, it can be made in a jiffy.
Part of Winter Platter 5, potatoes are my eternal favorite ๐

clockwise : Stir fried french beans, Crispy potatoes, Natal plum pickle, Plain paranthas and Dal shedho
Here’s what I did……………
INGREDIENTS
4 nos – medium sized boiled potatoes
1 nos – finely chopped green chili
1 tsp – chopped coriander
1/4 tsp – tumeric powder
2 tsp – oil
pinch of cumin seeds
salt to taste
METHOD
Peel the potatoes and gently break them. They will be uneven chunks.
Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds and green chili. Add the potatoes, tumeric powder and salt. Mix well and saute till golden brown skin starts forming around the potatoes. Sprinkle the chopped coriander and give it one final stir. Take it off fire.
Serve.
Happy cooking !! ๐
Cheers !! ๐
