Doing nothing is respectable at tea
Chai or tea, is exotic as well as regular. It is the energy drink of the masses in my country.
We Indians prefer to sip our tea from a glass 😉
What you see in the image, is the rustic way how morning tea is consumed by the masses………with some ‘rusk’.
Rusk is a toast (like a bread toast on the crispy side), produced in bulk by local bakeries. It is made of flour, semolina, butter, sweetner, with a delicate flavoring of fennel and poppy seeds.
I buy rusk from a nearby local bakery which substitutes the refined flour with multi -grain flour. They are fresh, crisp and aromatic. 🙂

Thank you. You can hear similar voice all over India 🙂
Oooh I missed this post in the high activity of Easter and travelling home I do apologise.
Happy Easter first of all!
I love chai it is my favourite tea by the way so learning the ‘proper’ way to drink it is a bonus for me! How do you make yours or do you buy made? I know there are some tweeks to the chai recipe or so I’ve seen.
I love the sound of that bread too, yum!
Thank you for coming to Tea Time I hope you’ve had time to visit everyone with your chai and have fun xx
