Today is Poila Boishakh, the Bengali new year !!
Wishing all my readers a foodilicious and a great year ahead !!
Every year a Β I cook up a storm of non -vegetarian delicacies along with some traditional sweets, this year i wanted a change π and minus the sweet.
So here is a fusion platter full of vegetarian food from some regions of the country including Bengal. Truthfully, the recipes are part of regular food, nothing intricate and laborious. Food presented or served in such a manner is termed as ‘Thali’ in India. π
My mom will be apoplectic to know that this is what I will serve and eat today π , but she should know her daughter better, I have never followed the well beaten path π
Recipes of all that is served in this ‘thali’ will be up soon. π
Shubho Noboborsho !
Happy cooking !! π
Cheers !! π
looks so tempting…
