Starting from zero to……….My first Blogoversary !

This is more a belated post, as I was vacationing during the blogoversary date 🙂

One year ago I started at the recommendation of my friends, one in particular, (whom I will be ever indebted) something random and out of the dictionary for me. It’s called a Blog.

A year ago, I sat in front of my computer, trying to figure out what is widget ? What buttons to push on my new wordpress blog. I was both, excited and scared, exploring uncharted waters. What will I find here ? How will others view my blog ? My fingers shook to write the description to my blog.

My pictures were from a point -and -shoot camera. I had no editing ideas. I did not know about watermarking. Literally, I was a Nemo in this huge sea. I needed help to find my way home.

I cribbed and moaned about my bad camera. I didn’t know how to use editing tools. And no watermarks. Hubby solved half my problems 😉 , gifted me a DSLR and gave me a push. My friends from Facebook helped me with the watermark and editing tools.

ACBistro was born, with zero expectations and heart full of dreams, just like the flower bud waiting to bloom. 🙂

My opening post was a traditional Bengali sweet called Channar Payesh. It got only 2 views, when I was expecting none ;), but it got me going and I opened a Facebook Page        https://www.facebook.com/acbistro

I had 2 followers plus a couple of email followers, one of them my husband 😀 😉 But hey, I was blogging !!

I joined blogging university, learned to maneuver the various aspects of the blog. I met so many wonderful and talented bloggers, friends. I have been given an oppurtunity to see the world through their images of places, food and people.

Photography lures me, Cooking heals me, Reading enriches me and sharing my random Musings brings peace.

In the past year I have published 260 posts and have 17 in drafts. From just a few followers, I have gained thousands, with an average viewing of 74 everyday.

I have yet to travel a long road, discover and explore.
