Alur Khosha Bhaja – Potato peel stir fry

Didn’t i confess earlier that we Bengalis strongly believe in ‘No Wastage’ ? 😉 We can just about cook every part of a  vegetable, plant, fruit, fish etc etc etc 😛

Jokes apart, stir fry of peels etc leads us to the culinary delights of a widow’s kitchen. Until the early twentieth century, the plight of the Bengali widows is a topic for a Doctorate. So vast and so deep !! :/ But those very kitchens gave us the best vegetarian food and the skills to use peels etc in an interesting and innovative manner. End result ?? Lip – Smacking ! ❤

Presenting here  is crispy stir fried potato peels, served as appetizer with plain hot boiled rice. I, ofcourse, use it for snacking too 😉 with a good cup of tea 😀

Next time, do not throw away the peel 😉 Use it for this crunchy bite.
